What are the benefits of having "Super Kegels" ?

Pelvic floor muscles (aka kegels) act like small girdles that help hold the abdominal organs in place and improve their functioning.

Weak pelvic muscles can lead to a whole lot of unpleasant conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse or urinary incontinence. In addition to improving these conditions, strong pelvic floor muscles also make childbirth easier and help you to control your bladder and bowels. Strong pelvic floor muscles may even help you get your kegel on and have a more fulfilling sex life. Because these muscles aren't obvious muscles that you consciously move, such as your arm muscles, you need special exercises to target and tone them. These exercises are called Kegels!  It's these muscles that we are targeting with the Super Kegel 2 Excerciser and its our mission to get everyone doing their Kegels everyday.

URINARY AND FECAL INCONTINENCE

Kegel exercises were developed by Dr. Arnold Kegel, a gynecologist, for this exact purpose. He found that when women with incontinence problems performed kegel exercises, they had greater control over their bladders. People who performed kegel exercises discovered that strong pelvic floor muscles also helped control fecal incontinence. For women with mild incontinence, kegels can reduce or eliminate the need for medications.

SEXUAL SATISFACTION

Kegels and sex are a natural pairing, since the pelvic floor muscles are heavily involved in sexual function. Strenthened pelvic floor muscles not only help you achieve orgasm, but they help you delay it so you can control and prolong your sexual experience. Aside from increasing pleasure, kegels might help women with medical conditions that prevent them from achieving orgasms.

PELVIC ORGAN PROLAPSE

Kegel exercises help reduce instances of pelvic organ prolapse. Many women experience this condition as they approach menopause. During pelvic organ prolapse, the uterus, vagina and other lower abdominal organs move around, collapse and even protrude out of the vagina. Strong pelvic floor muscles can prevent and, in some cases, correct these conditions.

EASIER CHILDBIRTH

Women with strong pelvic floor muscles, according to the American Pregnancy Association, have an easier time during labor and delivery. These muscles help the woman push during labor, but they also help women avoid pregnancy side effects, such as hemorrhoids, by reducing straining during labor. The Mayo Clinic reports that women with strong pelvic floor muscles experience less discomfort late in their pregnancies. Kegels also help new mothers regain lower abdominal strength after delivery.
